Today’s Crazy Ass Rumor

brain-explode

This comes from a Broncos blog called “Broncos Freaks”, and you can find it here. Or you can find it here, courtesy of our friends at Midwest Sports Fans who pointed us to this a while back.

Here’s the jist of it, brought to you via the internet all the way from the Rocky Mountains:

Our source tells us the players involved are: Brady Quinn and Shaun Rogers for Jay Cutler and the Broncos 3rd round draft pick.

I cannot think about the cap implications of this in detail, because my brain would actually explode.

And then there would be a huge freaking mess in my office, and my wife would come in later and really be ticked off about the exploded bits of my cranium all over the place.

What’s surprising is that, for us, we’ve got some decent furniture in here. And there’s no sense making a mess.

Nope. I’m not going in. I’m not going to do it. I’m going to look at the cap problem from a distance and not get too close. Because if I do, you know, poof. Brain parts all over.

But I’ll get close enough to tell you that there would have to be a lot of new contracts in place before this could happen. Savage signed Rogers for the next 20 years or something along those lines.

Roll up all those pro-rated signing bonuses and you can basically fund the next three Terminator movies. Which might not be a bad investment given that the trailer they released tonight looks kick-ass.

But this trade? Don’t get too close. Brain. Kablooey. Bad.
