Metcalf-up-the-Middles

Brief, painful, and relatively unproductive bursts of pure strategic stupidity, largely unpopular with the mass majority of fans…

  • I had to find out from my very own Twitter stream today that Rich Passan had gone rogue and was making appearances on the Les Levine program. Who knows what he is saying the name of the OBR?!?… I don’t get Les’ show… I need informants!
  • Phil Savage might have fled in horror from Tony Grossi’s digital voice recorder the other day, but he was more than happy to do color commentary for the Senior Bowl. Ain’t that sweet:
  • Murphy High graduate and former Cleveland Browns general manager Phil Savage tried his hand at color commentary Saturday night for Mobile radio station WNSP’s broadcast of the Senior Bowl. "It’s been a lot of fun," Savage said at halftime. "I’ve enjoyed it a lot. But I can tell you this: it’s a lot harder than you think it is."

  • Pat McManamon visited the Watercooler to jump into a thread on Muralgate. A lot of local writers lurk on the Cooler… some watch it for leads… it’s great to have one willing to jump in.
  • Branson Wright’s brain would explode before he linked anything other than a local newspaper – hey, what blogger actually, you know, digs for good stuff? But he got a major freaking scoop about free agent Mike Adams saying he would like the Browns to sign him.
  • I was just kidding about that “major freaking scoop” thing. A free agent who won’t get much demand would love to re-sign. Well, duh. But a brain would explode if the Plain Dealer’s “blogger” ever linked an actual blog. Or ever even looked at one.
